So I thought I would write about all things pregnancy and why it is a love/hate relationship for me. I guess we will start with the Good, and my 28 weeks photo.
The Good
- Maternity jeans, yes they are the top on my list. I bought some new ones a few months ago and all I can say is WOW! I got these ones with the "secret fit belly". They are so comfortable!!! So glad I broke down and got some, not to mention they don't look like maternity jeans! LOVE THEM!
- Feeling the baby kick and move. It is so wonderful now that she is moving so much and Brad gets to feel her move. It's just a amazing feeling! And seeing my belly move is kinda weird though.
- Alex giving his baby sister a hug by hugging my belly! It's so cute! He always talks about not making baby sister cry, and his baby sister "cooking".
- Sewing. I am having so much fun sewing baby stuff for me and other people having babies. I have finished the baby bedding and am going to start on a minky quilt. Very exciting
- Shopping. Although I haven't bought any baby clothes I love seeing the adorable stuff for little girls. I found this adorable flower beanie with matching shoes. So cute!
- Decorating. I have had so much fun figuring out what to do with her green room. Brad is glad I didn't go overboard on pink.
- Names. It is so funny when you are picking out names when you are pregnant. There are so many names that I like and Brad hates, and vice versa. It's funny because most of our parents don't really like the current list of name we have. Which if you have forgotten are Rylie, Hayden, Dylan, and Samantha (or Sam for short).
The Bad
- Having to get up to go to the bathroom several times a night, if she weren't kicking my bladder I might be able to make it til morning, but no!
- Sciatic pain. I hurt my back right when I got pregnant, now with extra weight and carrying around a screaming 2 year old alot of the time it makes the injury flare up.
- Being pregnant for the 2nd time is harder than the first, no laying around putting my feet up for me! It makes it harder to get house work done as well. No energy!
- She has decided that laying sideways, rather than up and down is apparently more comfortable. For me, not so much. It is very uncomfortable and restricts my movement even more.
- Carpal Tunnel. Yep apparently I have it from all my sewing. Doctor says it gets worse when you are pregnant. Hmm... Sounds like you fall apart when you are pregnant
The Ugly
- Heartburn! I haven't had it too bad yet but am not excited for when it gets bad again.
- Eggs! I don't know if i am sensitive to them or it's just because I am pregnant, but I can not eat them! I get a terrible stomach ache! And I have been craving some awesome eggs benedict! Boo!
I am sure there are other things but I seem to have fotgotten some of them. Oh there is a bad! Your memory sucks when you are pregnant
I have had so much fun getting ready mine and all the babies everyone else is having. This is the baby shower present I made for our friend Dana's baby girl.
Rag quilt blanket
Elepahnt Onesie
Burp Cloths
Elephant car seat toy.
Last but not least, my random Alex moment for the week.
Alex's messy face from eating an oreo. He gets a treat every night if he eats his dinner. He was very good that night!

Maybe you'll get lucky on the heartburn this time around! That really was the only major complaint I had being pregnant...terrible. Love the Alex pic. Don't let other people influence what you want to name her; even people who HATE a name will get used to it once she is stuck with it. That is the only advice I have :)
You did such an awesome job on the stuff you made! I love it! It was fun catching up with all of you girls at the shower too. ALSO...funny comment...I read in a magazine yesterday that if you have bad heart burn it could mean you'll have a hairy baby. :) I've been having it too, so we'll see. Yikes!
I hear ya, it is definitely a love hate relationship for me as well. I also feel the the 2nd time around you are way more aware of your body too so everything seems so much worse! Anyways the blanket and all the sewing projects are absolutely darling!!!
