Fall in the Sanchez Household

This November seems to be shaping up to be a busy month for us just like last month. We have gone to a U game, hung up christmas lights, fall yard work, helping my parents move into a new house, and of course keeping up with our untamable 2 year old!

Last Saturday we took Brad's mom to the U game. My mom was nice enough to babysit. Shelley had never been to a game so we decided it was long past due! Brad went up and got some tickets. We ended up sitting in the student section. I forgot how many kids get wild, out of control, and are drunk in the student section. I came to the realization that I am older than most of those kids, and having a kid of my own which made me feel even older. There was one girl who was exceedingly drunk, she went to walk down the stairs and tripped and hit her head on the railing right next to us. Poor thing, she was alright, more embarrassed than anything, so a guy ended up having to come and pick her up because she wouldn't get up! But all in all it was a great game! They played the New Mexico Lobos and won 45 to 14. Afterwards we met my mom at Red Robin with Alex for some burgers, it was a prefect night!

Sunday, Brad hung up Christmas lights! You may be thinking it's too early but the last 2 years I haven't had Christmas lights and this year I was determined. So Brad, my wonderful husband, hung them up while it's still a little warm and there isn't any snow on the roof. We were the first people on our street to hang them up, but then our neighbor across the street did it the next day.

Also, this past week, we have been helping my parents move. Sunday night we had pizza in their new place. Tuesday, I took Alex over to their house to help with moving some furniture around, and just so Alex can hang with his Nanny, and Papa. Alex found some empty boxes and started playing with them. I fit them together into a tunnel. He loved it. Even his Papa climbed in with him!

Wednesday, Brad came home from work on his lunch hour to do some quick yard work before it started to get cold. We bought new Christmas lights and when we hung them up the cord hadn't unraveled completely so we noticed on Monday that the lights were starting to sag. Brad got back on the roof to fix them and hang up the last strand, since he ran out of daylight on Sunday. Then Brad and I raked some leaves that had blown over from the neighbor's yard. Alex was a wonderful little helper, He used his little shovel to shovel leaves and then dump them into my dad's little trailer we have at our house. He got pretty good at it!

His giant pile of leaves. Yep he did it all himself
