I had a doctor's appointment (non-stress test). I went in thinking everything was going to go as usual. The nurse started to check my amniotic fluid level. She got a 7 then tried again and got a 6. She then decided to call the radiologist. She came and check and got a 5 then checked again and got a 4. The radiologist said she was going to call my doctor to see what he wanted to do. The nurse came back and said "looks like you are going to be a mommy today". Brad and I just looked at ea pm ch other, definitely nervous since my due date wasn't for another 3 weeks!
I got checked into Labor and Delivery. My doctor came in around 4 to discuss things with me. He told me I could be in labor up to 36 hrs, and wasn't even sure I would make it through labor since my fluid level was so low. So we decided on a c-section.
I went in for my c-section around 7. They did my spinal block and got me all ready. Brad came in a few minutes after they started and Alexander Patrick Sanchez was born at 7:22 PM! 5lbs 4.5 oz and 18 inches!
One of the most joyous days of my life!
