About 2:30 that afternoon I got a call from a deputy telling me they had recovered the car, that they guy who stole it was a robbery suspect, and had been arrested. She said the car as far as she knew was intact, but they had to keep the car for evidence and needed fingerprinting and was going to be searched.
We found out later that this robbery suspect had been charged with 10 counts of armed robbery. He was they guy who has been robbing pizza stores, and some other food chains.
The reason the cop were up here Sunday morning is they were acting on a tip that the guy's grandmother lives up here, and we were just unlucky enough that he saw the cops and was trying to walk away and happened to be walking down our street when we started the car.
We got our car back on Tuesday, the only things missing were some of Brad's cd's and his sunglasses. It has been a bit of an ordeal, with fee's get the car out of impound a couple hundred dollars, and Brad had to go to the city and county building to get some paperwork saying they were releasing the car. He said the people there remind him of DMV people not very nice or happy to be working there. The guy at the impound was the nicest guy and even stayed late since they didn't have the keys and Brad and to come all the way home to get them and drive back over there. All in all it's been an interesting experience. We are still talking to the police once a day letting us know what is going on. The deputy in charge of our case is very nice and has been extremely helpful, and we appreciate all she has been doing for us. Right now we know that the guy going to prison for a long time.

Wow. What an ordeal. I'm so sorry. I hate stuff like that. It just makes you feel so violated! We just had our car broken into last week and it just makes you lose a little faith in humanity and I hate that. I can't even imagine how I would feel if they had actually taken the car!
What the what, are you kidding me who steals a car in broad daylight! I am glad you got your car back ok, that is just crazy!
HAHA! The pizza hut robber stole your car? I can laugh about it because you got it back. Bummer about Brad's sunglasses though...did the guy wear them to prison? Seriously, like where did the stuff go? Crazy!!
