Saturday was very busy, Brad and Wilt went and got top soil first thing in the morning and they delivered our sod around 11:30. Brad was finally able to start laying it about 1:30. Brad's friend Jake Peterson came to help just as we were getting started. Jake had to leave about an hour and a half later and Brad's other friend Jake Lucas came to help us finish.
Manual labor for me! I actually helped lay the sod as well. I cut out the sod around things such as the house and our fabulous rock wall. I even got dirty, grass on my knees and everything.
Brad and I are very sore today. Our hamstrings hurt from squatting down. Anyways, our backyard looks pretty dang good! Thanks to Peterson and Lucas for helping us. We couldn't have gotten it done as fast without you guys! And also thanks to Wilt for letting us use his truck to get top soil!
Also Alex experienced his first skinned knee. He was in the backyard with Brad while he was getting it ready to lay the sod. Alex tripped and skinned it on the patio. He was brave, didn't even cry!
Sunday we went to the cemetery to put flowers on Brad's Granpa's grave. So there are some

Your yard looks great! I love that pic of Alex, with a big booboo, and a BIG smile on his face, like nothing happened!
Wow the yard looks awesome...Alex must be pretty dang coordinated if that is his first skinned knee! So fun to get a yard in, now the hard part is keeping the weeds out (ha haha!)
Hooray for getting grass in! I'm jealous...
