Our Weekend was Eventful... To Say the Least

Well... This weekend stated out fairly normal. Friday night we did the Octagon dinner as usual.
Then Saturday afternoon our friends Deven and Britany, and their kids Jaxson and Avery, came down from Logan. We went shopping in Park City and bought some summer clothes for her kids and Alex. Since Alex is starting to grow out of his. (mind you they are not too tight. They are just getting too short). We went to dinner, but didn't eat til 9:00 p.m. So by the time we got home we had 3 very grumpy children. Avery had a little trouble going to bed, and Jaxson did too since he was in the room with her and she was crying. The kids finally passed out about midnight though, and not shortly after the adults did too.
Sunday morning we all woke up and I decided to make french toast. We were out of bread so Brad went to the grocery store and took Deven and Brittany's car since they were parked behind us. We all ate breakfast and started to get ready while watching Cars, while everyone showered. Britany was standing the front room looking out the front window and yelled to Brad and asked him why he parked their car on the grass. Well it wasn't their car. Some lady had plowed into our front lawn (She had the same car, color and everything that Deven and Britany have). Apparently she bent down to pick something up and clipped our next door neighbors car, which was parked on the street and then ended up in our yard. Poor kid next door, his back axle was bent and the whole side of his car just smashed. And his side mirror is well gone. His car popped her tire and her rim was bent from when she hit the curb. Brad went out and talked to the cop and got all her insurance information. The cop said we should receive a call from her insurance company out fixing the trench and grass she tore up. We felt stupid even asking, since the kids car next to us is pretty much going to have a salvaged title on it now. But we still asked.
Anyway, after the car accident on our front lawn we took the kids to the children's museum at gateway. They had so much fun! Alex was a little wary at first but warmed up when we started playing in this ball area thing, with all these tubes and air chutes. He loved it. Every time I tried to redirect his attention he would run back over to it. We had so much fun. Avery went home sick though, poor thing. We have no idea how she got it but hopes she feels better.
Thanks Deven and Britany for coming down. We love you guys and know that our room is always yours when you come down to see us.

Closer view of her tire

Jaxson watching the tow truck.

Alex and Me playing with the mailbox. He was putting the plastic chicken eggs in it. (The thing behind us is a chicken coop)

Alex driving the police car. Actually he didn't quite get the leg action so I just pushed him while his feet dragged underneath.

Alex and Jaxson in the fireman dress up outfit

Mr. Fireman. He is so adorable. I know. But he's my kid and I can think he is the cutest kid, ever, all I want!

Just one of the ball things Alex loved.

Fun see through Legos.

And Deven.. What can I say. And Britany in the background with cute little Avery.

Wow what a fun weekend. That's too bad about your grass though, I guess that it could've been worse. That discovery gateway looks awesome, I will have to take Lydia there when she get's a little older.

Alex looks so cute as a little Fireman. And Devon looks like he's having a good time too! lol
Bummer about the car on your grass.

I love the picture of Alex dressed as a fireman. I've been wanting to go up to Park City for some shopping, but I don't think I am going to make it. I'll be doing good just to get my shopping done down here.
